Collaborative arrangements

Collaboration between INRAE and the major national public partners responsible for designing or implementing public policies is based for the most part on framework agreements and conventions that are often translated into action plans. These support structuring partnerships with non-academic public-sector partners to shed light on public policy in the Institute’s areas of expertise. Regular, formal exchanges between partners help to build a shared vision and organise collaboration on priority issues and needs. The partners’ trust is reflected in their commitment to long-term collaboration. In this respect, the long-term public policy support mechanisms (DPAPP) are special partnership structures with their own long-term financial and human resources. Jointly managed by the ministries concerned and INRAE, they are also coordinated by these two bodies and by INRAE’s Public Policy Support Divisions. The scope and management of each scheme are defined and may be the subject of a framework agreement.
