In collaboration with the city of Montpellier, INRAE researchers have developed the “Foodscapes” project. Its aim is to analyse the effects of the diversity of urban food landscapes – food shops, markets, shared gardens, etc. – on food consumption, representations and practices. It has developed several lines of research: the geography of food landscapes, the impact of shared gardens, and the “Mont’ Panier” survey of household purchasing behaviour.
