Florent Levavasseur is a member of a research team that has been working for over 30 years on the recycling of organic residues from livestock farming and urban waste. The researchers model the fate of these substances in the field and develop innovative agricultural practices as part of a participatory approach. The Proleg programme promotes associating organic residues and pulses, and thus feeds into public policies aimed at reducing farmers’ dependence on chemical inputs. A range of coherent innovations contributes to the agro-ecological transition.
