Stephan Ambec works at the Toulouse School of Economics as part of a team that conducts research on the impact of public policies on consumer and producer behaviour. In 2019-2020, he chaired a study on the environmental impact of the trade agreement between Europe and the South American Mercosur trade area. The study assesses the environmental losses caused by the trade agreement (biodiversity, and increased greenhouse effect) against the economic gains made by imports.
